hmm... i forgot all the chemistry! Thanks for the website. I have a hypothesis. maybe because the water 垢 clogged the metal so that the humidifier didn't work, and the NaCl helps ...??? sounds weird.. so if you add NaCl, it will eliminate the formation of the 垢? :) Sorry .. i don't have the chinese typing system here at school.

應該是怕沉澱會造成鍋垢，妨礙熱傳導？
不過加鹽該沒辦法軟化硬水吧。
唔，還看到個小偏方，用檸檬汁去除增濕器（humidifier）的異味，也可以用花茶、柚子汁等來代替。
