That was a nice clinic with a few patients waiting and reading in the lobby. There were several nice pictures on the walls.
I spent a couple of hours completing the paper work in the lobby as well. Then I was called into one small room and another room with pink chairs, taken a picture of myself as a patient, and taken care by several ladies, who work there.
I felt extremely fatigued this morning. I moved slowly, talked weiredly, and thought unclearly. I waited in the chamber with a nicely carved wooden table, four chairs, and a box filled with toys for another half hour.
Another lady finally walked in the silence, and asked me if i would mind a friend of mine coming in with me. I don't mind.
The doctor later came in and spoke in an interesting way, with courtsey. She wore a piece of clothe, which has many large colorful flowers on it. She asked me to scale how bad the allergy I have, how much it has bothered me. On a scale from 0 to 10, I said 8.5.
With the 8.5 corn allergy and possibily something else, I was told to cirtle the things I ate twice a week. It was ... a long list. I was glad to know I am healthy enough to be able to eat so many different kinds of food. On the other hand, this long list means I need to do that many stings for the allergy skin test and , most of all, need to pay that much expenses.
Another lady, who came in with the flower doctor, demonstrated us how to use epi-pen, after introducing how serious the allergy could be. It was scaring but also interesting to learn how to use epi-pen. That was a nice conversation to listen to her explaining the side effects of the medication they prescribed for me to release allergy before the test -- i might start to dislike people.
When we went to the front dest, we asked the lady to give us some ideas how much it would cost for the skin test next week. She billed us $170 for talking to the doctor with large flowers and other ladies as well as sitting in different small rooms for a whole morning. She then gave us an unclear idea for the cost for the test -- it depends. It cost some people about a thousand and some people over a thousand.
i am hoping to go back to Taiwan soon...
